Different academic studies have proven the efficiency of our catalysts on various substrates. Here are a few examples.
- Total synthesis of herbarumin I (Synlett, 2010, 1223)
In this study Dr. Debendra K. Mohapatra et al. from the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology tested the efficiency of different ruthenium-based catalysts on the synthesis of herbarumin I (a mycoherbicide).
The results detailed in the graph below show a remarkable efficiency of our catalysts : - in very little time compared to the classical Hoveyda and Grubbs catalysts, - at room temperature instead of 40°C, - at a noticeably lower loading, - and with a better yield.
This suggests novel stereoselective total syntheses of herbarumin I and stagonolide A, which are pharmacologically active compounds.
- Synthesis through Cross Metathesis (from Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2010, 49, 1-7)
Cross metathesis is a simple way to join two molecular blocks to build new compounds. Dr. M. J. Barrel et al. from the University of Edinburgh operated a catalyst screening for the reaction above and found out that the M71-SIMes gave the best results.
